Monday, January 5th, 2009

Ok you’ve a pair of skis and desire to find an adventure. Do you seek a fresh location that not everyone is flocking for their ski holidays? Would you like to be able to boast not just about the awesome lines but also the travel adventure your group had arriving to the montain? Here are two adventure, novel, new, different, exciting} mountains for going skiing.

Les Arcs comprises one of those areas. It is among the most elevated skiing firlds in France, and owing to the altitude one is able to ski there year-around. The superior slopes continue to be snow capped year-around and afford year round telemarking fun. The resorts slopes are some of the best in the alps and it is unsurprising that the resort is a skiing real adventure.

Isola 2000 is the last adrenaline ski location. Found in the most southerly lived in point of the earth wintertimes are freezing and snow is heavy. The consequence is snow covered peaks that reach all the way to the sea. There isn’t a finer ski resort to enjoy snowboarding. With several excellent ski mountains, you’re rarely distant from the pistes. When you look south whilst skiing one is viewing the whole way to the ocean. It truly is the best skiing location.

Trembling Tarantulas

Monday, January 5th, 2009

Supplies
A spool of fine-gage black wire (approximately 22 gage)
You can find this in the floral section of your local craft store
Wire cutters or strong scissors
Votive candle

Directions
1. Cut twelve 12″ lengths of wire. Place 4 of the lengths side by side and lightly twist them, just until they hold together in a loose “rope.” Repeat this process three times, until you have four ropes.

2. Place the four ropes side by side and bind them together by taking the end of the wire still on your spool and wrapping it tightly around the center of your bundle of ropes. Continue wrapping wire around the center of your bundle until it is secure. Now wrap the wire around in larger, loose circles to form a messy wire ball (approx 1″ - 2″ diameter). This ball is your spider’s body and the four ropes sticking out on each side of the ball are his legs.

3. Arrange his legs by twisting and bending them until the spider stands on his own. Place a lit votive in front of your creepy new friend and watch his shadow dance in the flickering light.

How to Use the Immediate Payment Feature for Your Item on eBay

Saturday, January 3rd, 2009

When you have labelled a ‘buy it now’ price for your item you would obviously want the buyer to immediately pay you. This can be done on eBay using the Paypal. This is used mostly when your item needs to be sold within a time frame, for example, football match ticket. The buyer has to know the exact figure of payment hence add all the involved cost and other seller and shipping needs.

When a buyer clicks on the ‘buy it now’ link of your listing he is instantly directed to pay through Paypal. If the buyer delays in doing the payment formalities the item remains open to other buyers to purchase. So the buyer who is able to pay fast becomes the winner of that item. And when the buyer pays, you have to ship the item. With your item having the ‘buy it now’ tag, you can use the instant payment feature on eBay with any selling format as the online auction, store inventory or fixed price.

When a bid is placed or the bid matches with your reserved price in your auction like listing, both ‘buy it now’ and immediate payment tag vanishes. The listing now becomes a regular auction-style listing and the item goes to the highest bidder. This auction-style listing ends with a higher bidder. Paypal remains the only payment mode for immediate payment option. Before the completion of payment if the listing reaches its ending time then nobody wins the item and you are free to list it again.

What Ebay Can Teach Us About Success

Friday, January 2nd, 2009

I flew back to New York from Atlanta a few weeks ago and picked up ‘Business 2.0′ magazine for the flight.

It was an excellent issue, but something so grabbed my attention that I ripped out the page because I wanted to share it with you.

As many of you know, I used to be the ‘King of Procrastination and being scattered’. That was me for about 7-8 years.

Those were tough times.

You see, because of those years where I was ‘all over the place’, I’m so commited right now to being focused and helping others become more focused.

To me, ‘Whoever has the strongest focus wins.’

Focus is everything.

So, I’m reading the magazine and there’s an interview with Meg Whitman, the CEO of EBay, about growing a business.

Because I admire successful businesses and people, I digged in and started to read.

Here’s what really caught my attention and I wanted you to read this also:

Question to Meg Whitman:

“eBay is an amazing growth machine. What were the key decisions you made that set up the company for this kind of hyperthyroidism?”

CEO of eBay, Meg Whitman:

“The key decisions can all be characterized by focus, focus, focus. Back in March 1998, we were faced with a decision on what categories we wanted to focus on.

We decided to really be a collectibles company The heaviest users were collectors, the heaviest sellers were collectors. It was a very explicit strategic decision, because part of the group wanted to go into consumer electronics and all of these categories we are in today.”

And we answered, “We have only a limited number of resources. What is the best focus that we can have?”

End.

Wow.

Focus, focus, focus.

My whole financial life changed when I started to FOCUS.

Read the last sentence that Meg Whitman said above.

Ask yourself it this way:

“I only have a limited number of resources. What is the best focus I can have?”

Meg Whitman is worth hundreds of millions of dollars. What do Meg, Tiger, Oprah, and Stephen Spielberg all know?

You need to FIND YOUR FOCUS and TAKE ACTION.

eBay’s now one of the most successful companies in the world.

Let’s ignite your success today.

You in?

Talk to you soon.

Buying At Auction: 6 Hints to Make You a Successful Bidder

Friday, January 2nd, 2009

Buying at auction, be it for stamps or coins, antiques or even cattle, can be one of the most exciting and profitable experiences possible. It can also be expensive and utterly frustrating. The best way to come out ahead is to learn the tricks of the trade early. Here are some suggestions that should help you get on the fast track to success.

(1) Do your research. Knowledge is your most important tool, even more important than money.

(2) Learn how to be inconspicuous.

(3) Beware of zombies, shills and lunatics. The best way to avoid them is

(4) Hire an agent.

(5) Be selective. Don’t be afraid to spend the extra dollar when something especially rare or in exceptional condition comes your way. You may never get another chance.

To elaborate:

(1) Every experienced buyer knows how important knowledge is. Questions of authenticity, condition, and rarity are always the key considerations. If you are fortunate enough to have both knowledge and money, you have the world by the tail. But even if you have limited funds you can still do very well if you know something the rest of the potential buyers don’t.

(2) Once you have spotted something you want to buy, fade into the woodwork as much as possible. The last thing you want to do is attract attention to yourself or the lot you are interested in. After you’ve been around long enough, your competition will find out who you are. Until then try to keep as low a profile as possible and guard your information. Use a code system to keep track of your limits. I’m constantly amazed at how careless some bidders are with their auction catalogs and what they write in them.

(3) Zombies, shills and lunatics are every auction bidder’s nightmare. If a zombie knows who you are, he/she will follow your every move. Their motto is: if that person is willing to spend a hundred dollars for a lot, I sure can afford to spend a hundred and ten. Most people know what a shill is. It is someone working for the auction house or seller who artificially pushes up prices by bidding against you. In order for an item to get a good price, two or more bidders must be interested in it. Shills are especially skilled at figuring out how high you are willing to go. Lunatics are the ones who absolutely have to have a lot and will bid whatever it takes to win it. The best way to deal with these three worthies is to hire an agent to bid for you.

(4) Agents are professionals who have developed skills at bidding at auction. One famous New York stamp auction agent was so skilled at hiding his bids that only the auctioneer and a few other people ever knew how he did it. As strange as it may sound, paying an auction agent the extra 2-5% fee may save you many hundreds of dollars or more in the long run. The zombies, shills and lunatics won’t know who is bidding against them.

(5) Finally, one of the most important skills of all is the ability to recognize when to open up the purse strings. Condition and rarity are the two most important determinants of price. The exceptional item is always worth an extra bid or two. One customer who was examining my stamps at a national stamp show remarked, “I’ve been looking for this one for more than 40 years and you have a very nice copy. But I never pay more than half catalog for anything.” I wished him well. It was a scarce stamp and I expect he’ll still be looking if he lives another 40 years.

To summarize: knowledge is the primary key to success at auction bidding. Secondly, develop your skills as a bidder and buyer. Then, learn to recognize the individuals you will have to deal with on the auction floor. Cross them up and use and agent. And finally, know when to pay a premium for the exceptional item.

Best of luck!

Special offer 32500 dollar at a just interest rate of 15.2 percent

Friday, January 2nd, 2009

Be smart today to inspect if you have a nice bargain or if you don’t with the bank that offers you a loan. Examine to see if the moneylender who is willing to give you a credit loan is fine.

That’s the reason why now you really need to inquire and watch if you can have a money loan at a safe percent rate of interest. A merchant bank in Bolingbrook Illinois or so can have a total totally different actual loan rate for a 12500 dollar money loan then a moneylender in Joliet Illinois and that makes a large clear gap in your monthly pay offs. Nowadays you can check up on rates of interest quickly at websites and ensure if there are possible sneaky traps you should be aware of. It doesn’t matter if you live in North Richland Hills Texas or in Oak Lawn Illinois a dependable online examination will redeem you often a lot trouble. 13.5 percent rate may come out so sightly but will that be constant after you have to pay back your bank loan. Many of the moneylenders wil show you a loan rate that is looking fair but doesn’t feel advantageously or so after a while.

The Five Things You Must Do Before Buying On Ebay

Thursday, January 1st, 2009

As a consumer, you will find many great deals on items that you want and need through eBay auctions. Many people visit eBay on a daily basis looking for auctions for items that they may be interested in - simply because eBay auctions are so much fun!

However, before you start buying on eBay, there are some steps that you need to take. Here are five things you must do before buying on eBay.

1. You can’t buy anything without registering first.

Registration is free and only takes a few minutes. You will be asked for credit card information, and this is required before you will be able to bid on auctions. Your email address must be confirmed before your account will become active, so make sure that you use the correct email address.

You will be given the option to sign up for a Paypal account, if you don’t already have one, and you should strongly consider doing so. Signing up with Paypal is free, and many auctions will require you to have a Paypal account.

2. Once you have completed the registration process, you are ready to start bidding on auctions.

However, don’t jump in right away. Navigate around the site a bit, and get a feel for things first. Some unscrupulous sellers try to take advantage of new eBay users, and you must be wary of them.

Start by searching for the items that you are interested in. Using the category list, click on the categories that you feel that you are interested in, and start looking at the open auctions in those categories. You should find the items that you are looking for quite easily.

3. Once you have found items that you want to bid on add the auction to your favorites - but don’t place your bid just yet.

Instead, go find old auctions for similar items. See how much those items sold for so that you know how high to bid. Research the item as best as you can. Determine what the item would cost if it were brand new, and what you should bid now on the used item, in the condition that it is in.

4. Learn more about the seller.

Remember, not everyone is honest. Avoid buying from sellers who have low reputations. The reputation system at eBay is an important tool for buyers. This will enable you to determine whether or not you can trust the person that you are buying from.

Read their feedback page. Read the seller’s ‘About Me’ page. Get to know who you are dealing with a little bit better by communicating with the seller about the auction.

5. Place your bid.

Once you know what item you want and how much you should bid on it, you are ready to place your bid.

There are two ways you can do this. Some sellers take bids on their auctions, with the item going to the highest bidder. Others choose to use the ‘Buy Now’ feature, which means that they have a set reserve price that you must meet - but you are not in competition with other bidders. This is a typical option that sellers use when they have multiple identical items to sell, or when they sell brand new items on eBay using drop shippers.

If you are entering into an open live auction - where bids are placed and the highest bidder wins - you will need to watch the auction closely to ensure that you keep raising your bid to win the item. Just make sure that you don’t end up winning by paying way too much - unless it is a unique item that won’t be found elsewhere!

Acquire Hi-Def Televisions on the World Wide Web Today

Thursday, January 1st, 2009

With brand-new hi-tech improvements which comprises of digital Telly, High Def TV, Freesat and home cinema sound, if you’re existing telly machine is older than 5 years old, then this moment is a superb time to buy a brand new telly. But, as equipment improves near enough each day, buying a brand new telly machine might be greatly tricky & perplexing.

This article tries to describe all the brand new innovations that will help to take your TV enjoyment to a splendid new intensity.

High-Def TV: Possibly the most essential innovation to telly since the invention of colour technology, Hi-Definition (HD) TV brings detail, clarity & colour, with images characteristically 4xs as sharp as many usual telly devices. To see the advantages of High-Definition TV programmes you must own a High-Def Ready telly. Sky & Freesat have already started to offer hi-definition TV programmes therefore you can now benefit from an assortment of your favourite programmes, films & sporting occasions with incredible realistic pictures.

Incorporated Digital Tuner: A television with an integrated digital tuner (also referred to as idTV) permits you to take a look at all free to air digital TV stations, for example: E4, BBC3, Sky News & to name a few without the demand for a second set-top box.

Freesat: A brand new digital satellite telly service provided through joint venture between the BBC and ITV, giving you free High-Definition Telly programmes at no additional fee. Freesat has no contractual agreement, no payment subscription, just one single fee for the TV, satellite dish & installation. Furthermore because Freesat is transmitted via satellite, its available to more or less each and every home in the UK. Freesat TV is at this time only obtainable through Panasonic tellies. John Lewis sells Cheap TVs from top brands such as Sony and Panasonic.

LCD or Plasma Tellies: Although LCD & Plasma tellies operate in totally different ways, the advantages of both are very much alike. Nevertheless, it’s essential to remember that when choosing between a Plasma or LCD TV, it is in actual fact only a question of size. LCD is at its optimal performance up to and including 32 inches, whilst Plasma televisions offer optimum performance at thirty seven inches, and bigger. Thus, if you want to get a smaller flat panel TV set, then (which stands for Liquid Crystal Display) offers the superior performance, whereas on the other hand if you require a bigger panel size, then Plasma is definitely the ideal choice.

In conclusion, its essential to consider when picking the correct telly for you, to think about your funds, your screening distance, the style you yearn for & if it’s to be an LCD or Plasma TV.

The Father Of Virtual Real Estate Investing Comments On His Industry

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

Virtual Real Estate Investing” is a relatively new concept. Everything from using the internet as an avenue to make more money in real estate to online games such as SecondLife seem to be included in the popular definition of this term.

To separate fact from fiction, I asked Bryan Ellis of BryanEllis.com for comments. He’s the man many consider to be the father of this new form of investing.

Ellis says he adopted the term “virtual real estate investing” sometime before Y2K after he realized that making money online is conceptually very similar to making money with physical real estate.

One example of the parallels between virtual and physical real estate Bryan Ellis cites is the similarity between the monetization of domain names versus physical property. “There’s a huge difference between a website and a piece of real estate, but the ways you can profit from them are similar: ‘flipping’, rental/leasing, advertising sales, etc…all of these apply to both markets” he states.

The parallels really are obvious. For example, if you’re the owner of a desirable property, its desirability is (in a business context) largely due to its being in a location that is of interest to others. Likewise, if you own a desirable domain name, others will find value in it because it serves their purposes. So it doesn’t matter if you own physical real estate or virtual real estate - you’ll likely use similar strategies to turn them into money in your pocket.

In our next installment of this series on virtual real estate investing, Bryan Ellis will share the internet analogies to the physical concept of real estate development.

What To Do After Your eBay Auction Closes

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

So your auction closes. Now what?

Hopefully you made a sale or several sales. Now the important work begins. Here are some tips on what to do after your eBay auction closes.

Buyer Contact

Once your items have sold, be responsive to the buyer. Contact them in a quick manner, thank them for their purchase, and provide the required information for payment.

Professional Wrapping

When you wrap your items, wrap it professionally in nice, clean tissue paper. If breakable, be sure the item is wrapped with bubble wrap as well. Include a business card with your website information, name, address, or a printed out statement showing the items name, items number, price paid, and a small hand-written note thanking the buyer for their purchase.

Insurance

Insurance is usually a good idea but in general, it should be an optional feature, with the decision left to the buyer. Remember two important things about insurance. First, insurance is VERY inexpensive. Therefore, in your description, you should state how much insurance would cost and recommend it. Second, you should also state in the description that if insurance is not purchased, you are not responsible for lost or damaged items.

Go the Extra Mile

You want every customer to be a happy customer. If you have to do a little more research on shipping, or negotiate on price, remember that the customer is the reason you will have success. Therefore, be prepared to go the extra mile in providing them with superior service every single time.

Negative Feedback

Unlike other sites that use a feedback system, eBay’s feedback is sacred and taken very seriously. Negative feedback is never removed. Therefore, if you leave negative feedback rather than trying to handle a tough situation between you and the seller, this could give you a bad reputation. If people see that you consistently leave negative feedback because your buyer did not pay as quickly as you like or whatever reason, buyers will be leery of buying from you in fear of getting negative feedback themselves should something go wrong.

Trustworthiness

It is extremely important that you handle your account with integrity. The number of positive comments and amount of stars earned are what will be the deciding factor for many buyers. Be professional, polite, and stand by what you sell.

Sending Items

In your description, provide accurate details regarding shipment. Make sure the item(s) are sent within the time you stated. In many cases, people purchase something for a specific purpose and if you do not ship it when stated, not only do you mess up their schedule for the item but you have probably lost a customer and opened the door for a negative feedback.

Communication with Buyer

It is your responsibility to contact the buyer at the end of the auction congratulating them on winning the item(s). Issue an e-mail requesting their shipping address. Once they provide that information to you, let them know when the shipment will go out, which should coordinate within the timeframe provided in your auction description. If you know the shipping charges, advise them in this same e-mail. Once payment has been made, send another e-mail to the buyer confirming that you received their payment and that the item(s) will be shipped on X day via (US priority mail, UPS, Fed-Ex, etc.). Once you have a tracking number, send that to the buyer as well. This will allow them to follow the tracking themselves.

Integrity

Regardless of whom the buyer, work with integrity and run your auctions accordingly. More than likely, you will run into some difficult buyers, although not often. Keep in mind that every buyer provides the best form of advertisement - word of mouth. Integrity is what will draw customers in and keep them coming back along with friends and family.

Openness

If a buyer makes a recommendation, listen. That does not always mean you will agree or even like their recommendations but if they have something to say, it might be something important to making your auction site better for future buyers. For example, if your shipping information seems muddled to the buyer but clear to you, you need to review what you have written. If the customer is struggling with understanding, that is truly what matters.
