Naveen Jain
Naveen Jain, one of the biggest names in the info-commerce industry, is a testament to how dreams and ambition can lead to big things. Who would have expected that Naveen Jain would be able to become the founder and CEO of two very successful IT companies? After all, he was just a mere little boy who immigrated from Uttar Pradesh, one of India’s most densely populated regions.
With the encouragement of his parents, Naveen Jain was able to finish his BS in engineering degree in the late 70s at the Indian Institute of Technology in Roorkee. Propelled by his own ambition, Naveen Jain was able to pursue his studies at the XLRI Jamshedpur, where he attained his MBA degree.
After finishing his studies, Naveen Jain moved to the United States in search for more opportunities. For a while, he found himself working at the Burroughs Corporation in New Jersey. His credible performance had eventually earned him a position at one of the most prominent companies in the IT industry, Bill Gates’ Microsoft Corporation.
After offering his services for seven years, Naveen Jain decided to surrender his post in favor of setting up his own company. Investing on his own skills and knowledge, he was able to build two successful companies, namely InfoSpace and Intelius.
His second company, Intelius Inc, was established in January of 2003. In less than ten years, Intelius was able to experience tremendous growth in terms of its customer base and total annual revenue. Naveen Jain’s Intellius operates as a technological information broker. The company provides a full range of information based security services such as security solutions, real estate verification services, as well as criminal and financial background checks.
Over the years, Naveen Jain was able to receive a variety of awards and recognitions due to his excellence in the field of technology. A few of the awards he was able to receive were the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the WSA Industry Achievement Award, and the Albert Einstein Technology Medal.
